|  SALLES-ARBUISSONNAS: A VILLAGE BOUND TO HISTORY
The first evidences of human occupation near Salles are as old as 35.000 years ago, during the paleolithic period.
Since this period of time, Gauls, Romans and Sires de Beaujeu have turned the village, just like the famous writer Lamartine or painter Dufrenoy, into a place of interest where History and legends merge. The Xth century-old roman church and the XIIth century-old cloister are evidences that one can visit all year round . |
